About the Artist

Larry Brownstein traveled extensively photographing the people, landscapes, and monuments of Asia and Europe. Subsequently, his attention turned to the American landscape, both natural and man-made. He currently focuses on the people, subcultures, and the social landscape of Los Angeles and its environs. Notable exhibitions include his photo-essay Hollywood: A Live Show Daily, his Venice Beach series at the critically acclaimed Group LA, and his images of Los Angeles in a program at the prestigious Annenberg Space for Photography.

Currently, Brownstein writes and teaches about photography and exhibits his work widely, showcasing his ability to find the extraordinary in what at first appears ordinary.
