Alicia Ide

Co-Chair. Alicia is a Management Analyst for Culver City Public Works with a background in arts administration, law, and education, and a longtime advocate for the arts through her work with the Wende Museum and Culver City’s cultural programs.

Paal Anand

Co-Chair. Paal Anand is a visual storyteller inspired by the fantastical and surreal. A Graphis Master and Arte Laguna Hall of Fame Inductee, he is the Vice Chairman of the Culver City Arts Foundation.

Jim B. Clarke

Jim B. Clarke is a former Culver City Councilmember (2012-2018) and Mayor (2016-2017) during the City’s Centennial. Previously, he has served as Director, Mayor’s Office of Grants for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa; served as chief of staff to two Los Angeles members of Congress – Rep. Diane Watson and Rep. Brad Sherman; executive director of two non-profit organizations, and as managing associate for the executive search firm of Korn/Ferry International. Jim holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Cal State Long Beach and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. Jim spent 23 years on active and reserve duty with the U.S. Coast Guard retiring as a Commander. He is also a graduate of the CORO Foundation Public Affairs Fellowship.

Alicia Ide

Alicia currently serves as a Management Analyst for Culver City’s Public Works Department. She previously launched and continues to support the City’s Artist Laureate Program within the Cultural Affairs Division. For over a decade, she was Director of Business Administration at the Wende Museum, where she oversaw operations, finance, HR, and events, secured major funding, and co-managed a $5M+ renovation of the Culver City Armory. Alicia has also worked with nonprofit arts organizations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. She holds a JD from USC, a BA in political science and economics from Wellesley College, and has completed coursework at Yale and Whittier College. A trained vocalist and lifelong arts advocate, Alicia also serves on the board of Impro Theatre, leads her homeowner’s association, and enjoys her dogs, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Paal Anand

Paal Anand is a visual storyteller and conceptual artist inspired by the fantastical and surreal. A leading figure in the Light in Space movement, his work reimagines classical mythology through surrealist digital art and photography. For over 20 years, he created digital images for blockbuster films including Hellboy and Pirates of the Caribbean. His honors include Artist of the Year 2025 (Fondazione Effetto Arte), Arte Laguna World Hall of Fame Inductee, Graphis Master, and Ambassador for the Arte Laguna Prize 2026. His work has been exhibited internationally in Venice, Florence, Milan, Shanghai, London, Paris, and Athens. Paal serves as Vice Chairman of the Culver City Arts Foundation.

Jane Lee

I’m a Culver City resident and realtor committed to creating a strong quality of life for our community. A thriving city doesn’t happen by chance—it’s built through access to creativity, culture, and shared spaces. As a realtor, I know a home is just the beginning of the story; it’s the community around it that truly makes it meaningful. I work to help ensure Culver City remains vibrant, inclusive, and creatively fulfilling, so residents feel as inspired by their neighborhood as
they do by the place they call home.

Tony Spano, Jr., DMA

Dr. Tony Spano has been teaching music at Culver City High School since 1998. He is Executive Director of the Culver High Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (avpa.org). He has won numerous awards and recognition for his work, including Culver City USD Teacher of the Year (2016), 3-time Grammy Music Educator of the Year quarterfinalist (2023-2025), and was selected to perform with the “Saluting America’s Band Directors” Band Directors Marching Band that marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (2023) and the Rose Parade (2026). Tony earned a music education degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his MFA and DMA in conducting from UCLA.

David J. Stine

David J. Stine brings a wealth of creative expertise and strategic vision to the Culver Arts Foundation Board. With a robust background in design, David understands the intricate balance between aesthetic innovation and practical execution. He leverages this unique perspective to champion Culver City’s vibrant creative community, advocating for accessible public art and vital resources for local artists. David believes that thoughtful design and a thriving arts sector are essential to a city’s economic and cultural heartbeat. As a board member, he is dedicated to fostering an environment where both emerging and established creators can flourish.

Tina Tangalakis

Art advisor specializing in emerging and underrepresented artists, connecting collectors and institutions with culturally meaningful and impactful work. She serves as a lead Art Advisor for the Cedars Sinai Art Foundation, where she curates and advises on collections that enhance healing environments through art. Tina’s work focuses on expanding representation, supporting artists’ careers, and creating thoughtful, accessible art experiences. A lifelong arts advocate, she brings a global and community-centered perspective to her curatorial and advisory work.

Sya Warfield

Sya Warfield is an interdisciplinary artist and founder whose work explores calm, ritual, and connection in contemporary public life. Through sound, visual art, and participatory practices, she creates inclusive, sensory experiences that invite reflection, presence, and creative engagement. Her work appears in schools, workplaces, and community spaces, offering accessible entry points into creativity without pressure or performance. Grounded in nervous-system awareness and cultural storytelling, her practice centers art as a shared language for belonging, restoration, and collective wellbeing.

Sehnita Joshua Mattison

Sehnita Joshua Mattison is a former Emmy-nominated producer, host, and anchor for a diverse range of news, lifestyle, and reality programming, including the iconic program Judge Judy. Leveraging her media experience, she pivoted to working as a freelance media and strategic communications consultant, collaborating with nonprofits, entertainment, lifestyle, and consumer clients, such as TOMS Shoes. Sehnita loves living in Culver City with her husband, two children, a dog, and two cats. She’s been active in her community, volunteering for her kids’ schools, El Marino Language School and Culver City High School. She served as a Den Leader and Cubmaster for Culver Cub Scout Pack 79, where her children began their scouting experience while continuing on to the Troop level. Sehnita graduated with a B.S. in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Strategic Communication Management from the University of Southern California. Go Blue & Fight On!
