Culver City Historical Society – Archives & Resource Center Open House

The ARC is Culver City’s historical museum. One can trace the history of the area, the founding of the City by Harry Culver, the growth of the movie industry, the revitalization of the city into a vibrant center of cultural activity. See why the city motto “Heart of Screenland” aptly fits with movies like “Gone with the Wind”, “Wizard of Oz”, “Citizen Kane”, “King Kong”, “Showboatd”, “E.T.” and films made by Laurel & Hardy and the Little Rascals were all made in Culver City.
