ONGOING EVENTS
12.27.20
We have two parts to the evening program. For the first half, we will provide you insight into the state of the Culver City arts community in 2020. In particular, we want to highlight the importance of helping our local art community survive and thrive. In response to the hardships being faced this year, we are launching our #CulverCityResilient campaign. This campaign will enable the arts to continue helping make our great Culver City a wonderful place and boldly proclaiming who we are. Then for the second half you will want to make sure to stay for a magical and entertaining opportunity to create your very own origami art. We will be led by Los Angeles artist Nori Shirasu. This portion is a ticket event, with an art kit being provided.
We are also honoring Dr. Janet Cameron Hoult, the honorary Poet Laureate of Culver City. She is the embodiment of how art can lift our spirits in dark times. The arts connects us to our community. The arts helps us realize that we are not alone. The arts inspires our own creativity and imagination. The arts are the heart of Culver City. They bring us together to rise.
