Tango on the Plaza at Ivy Station

FreeClose out your weekend with Argentine Tango dancing on the Ivy Station plaza at sunset! Ilona Glinarsky will teach a beginning Argentine Tango lesson on Sunday, September 24th at 4pm, followed by social dancing and music from DJ Kristen Vic from 5-8pm. No dance experience or partner is needed. This event is outdoors, free, and open to the public. Please note this event will be held on a concrete outdoor plaza.
Food will be available for purchase from Ivy Station eateries and pop-ups: Canopy Club, etta, Love.Life, Sweetfin, and Perro at Los Angeles Ale Works
Free validated parking is available in Ivy Station’s garage (entrances at 8900 Venice Blvd. and 8840 National Blvd. in Culver City). Ivy Station is conveniently located at the Culver City stop on the Metro E line and has ample bike parking.

Ilona Glinarsky, an award-winning dance educator and tango event producer, is a leading force in the Southern California Argentine Tango community.
She is recognized for her innovative teaching approach, her warmth and wisdom, as well as her commitment to building a diverse and all-inclusive community.
As a committed dance activist, she has organized many charitable community events designed to educate the general public about the culture, nature and benefits of social style partner dance, such as Argentine Tango.
Ilona loves working with complete beginners, those who claim to have two left feet, folks of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, utilizing tango as therapeutic tool that transforms and enriches people’s lives.

About DJ Kristen Vic:
Kristen, also known as Vicktorious, stepped into her first milonga in Istanbul in the winter of 2014 and immediately fell in love with the enchanting world of Argentine Tango. After relocating to Los Angeles, she immersed herself even further in the dance and discovered a deep passion for the music that accompanies it She began her journey as a DJ in 2017, captivating dancers with her unique style and infectious energy. Since then, she has become a beloved local DJ, renowned for her ability to keep the dance floor alive all night long.
With a keen understanding of the dancers’ desires, Kristen ensures that everyone wants to dance the whole night when she takes control of the music. Her carefully curated tandas have a seamless flow and an irresistible energy that drives the milonga, leaving dancers yearning for more. Whether it’s a traditional Golden Age tango or a modern orchestra that perfectly matches the mood of the milonga, Kristen’s musical focus is always on creating an unforgettable experience for every dancer in the room.
