Stephen Turk

Stephen Turk joined the cello section of the Culver City Symphony Orchestra in 1980. He was elected to the Orchestra’s Board of Directors in 2016 and became President in 2020. As President, Steve is our chief executive officer and works closely with the management team, including the Music Director. He oversees all funding initiatives, including grant writing, and supports the Treasurer with financial matters. Originally from England, Steve Turk has an MA from the University of Oxford and is a retired CPA. He was a Managing Director at Deloitte, a major international accounting and consulting firm, for 33 years working primarily in M&A transaction advisory services. He has experience serving not-for-profit clients and has served on other not-for-profit boards.
